pici

Over the weekend Matthew and I went to check out this little pizzeria cafe in Beverly Hills. The name caught our attention because Pici refers to a hand-rolled pasta that we discovered on our honeymoon. It's a regional specialty of Tuscany and we've been dying to find it since we've been back home. Turns out the pici was authentic and delicious, and the pizza was just as good!

{I spy Matthew!}

I love hanging out with Matthew over the weekends and going on little dates. Can you believe that yesterday marked 6 months of being married?!  I seriously can't believe that a half a year has already flown by. It's been amazing and so wonderful and I'm really looking forward to our first winter holidays together as a married couple. I can't believe Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away!

I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoy this Monday!

family feet

The most random post about family, feet and fur:
I love my little family. Sweet little Ginger is the cutest little puppy and I love holding her in my lap, even though half the time she tries to jump off and go fetch a toy. I try so hard to make her a lap dog!
Doesn't Ginger sit funny? She's so silly!

It's hard to believe that Matthew and I {and Ginger!} are moving out of our first apartment this weekend. I remember when Matthew found out he was transferring jobs and moving down. I helped him look for apartments when I got off work from the law firm and I happened to find him the most perfect one..less than a block away from my parents house! He loved it though and for the past year and 10 months it's been his home, and for the past 3 months it's been ours. We've had dance parties, dinner parties and holiday parties, not to mention two adorable Christmas trees. It's going to be sad to say goodbye and close the door. I just have to remember how exciting it will be to move into our first real place together, unpack, settle in, and decorate. We have so many more memories to make in the new apartment and I couldn't be more excited!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Send some good thoughts our way as we pack up and move out. I'm already an emotional mess! haha

san diego sun and fun

Matthew and I went down to San Diego to celebrate his big bday with his family and we had such a great time, as usual! The weather was absolutely perfect so we got sandwiches and went to the beach with his brother and best friend. It was so nice to sit outside and soak in the sun.

Matthew and his gorgeous mom!
eep! dodging a ball!

I love Matthew's family so much! They are the sweetest people and I just adore my nieces and nephews {so cool to be able to say that now.. yay I'm an aunt!}. Look how cute these kiddos are! They bring big smiles to my face!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Happy first of August!!

a big birthday weekend

This was one huge, crazy, long, fun weekend that was all about celebrating Matthew's big birthday! On Friday morning I surprised Matthew by telling him to pack him bags for a mini getaway. We drove up to Cambria, stopping in Santa Barbara for lunch, Los Olivos for cupcakes and Cayucos for cookies and thrift shopping.  It was so nice to get away for a few days and explore these awesome areas. To say we ate a lot this weekend would be a big understatement!

and now for my favorite photo...
He's thirty, flirty and thriving!

I love my birthday husband!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

happy birthday matthew!

Today is such a special day! It's Matthew's 30th birthday!! I am so lucky to have this wonderful man for my husband. It's funny to think that last year he was just my boyfriend!! So much has happened in the past year for us and I'm looking forward to all the fun memories we'll have together in the future. Happy birthday Matthew! I love you so much!

the trevi fountain

We couldn't go to Italy without doing some of the touristy things. One of them included going to the Trevi Fountain and throwing in our three coins. Yes, you're supposed to do it to find your true love, and even though Matthew and I already have the covered, we did it anyway. Besides when I was little I loved to listen to the song "Three Coins in the Fountain" and I promised Frank Sinatra I would do it one day! So I really had to!

Yeah, we were nerdy tourists haha

In other news: Matthew and I might have found a great apartment yesterday! We put in an application and we're crossing our fingers. The lady loved us but unfortunately Ginger might be an issue. Why is it so hard to find pet friendly rentals? It's so frustrating. We'll see, I guess. Also, it's my birthday week!!! I'm kind of excited, if you can't tell :)
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!
