Last night was the last of the Emma miniseries on BBC. I'm a little behind though so I started the first part after the Superbowl. {{Oh and about that.. I don't pay that much attention to football so I didn't have a preference in who won. I did spend some time in New Orleans though with Habitat for Humanity so at first I was happy for the Saints gaining the lead but then I was hoping for a Colts comeback. Either way it was still a good game!}}

But back to Emma..I love Jane Austen. I've been a fan since I was a little girl when I got the complete set of her books as a birthday present. My best friend Elizabeth and I bonded over that since there weren't many other 10 year olds who were swooning over Mr. Darcy and Mr. Knightly. I have enjoyed the film adaptations, like the 1996 version with Kate Beckinsale, and the feature film with Gweneth Paltrow. And maybe you already know that Clueless with Alicia Silverstone was based off Emma? I was surprised how much I enjoyed this new one with Ramola Garai. She's pretty, isn't she? She reminds me of a mix between Cameron Diaz and Alicia Silverstone. She was more silly than Gweneth Paltrow's portrayal but still up to no good!

I've always loved this era, with the simple style of dresses in beautiful fabrics, the hats, the hair, the dancing, the picnics. I want to be there too!

Today I'm feeling a little under the weather and all I want to do is snuggle up and finish the series! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Update: You can watch Emma online here!
