an update

Wow..how have I not posted since Wednesday?! Oh yeah the wedding is less than 5 days away! {Who's getting tired of the countdown?} I didn't think that I would get so busy with last minute wedding details that I wouldn't be able to blog. I feel so terrible especially since I actually do have stuff to write about and post! With my own royal wedding less than a week away I feel like I've been going nonstop. I can't tell you how nice it will be for Friday to be here and I can just relax and enjoy the day. Sure, things might go wrong/probably will but at that point it really won't matter. I'm hoping I can continue posting through this week like I planned but I was wondering what I should do with the blog while I'm gone for two weeks. I was thinking about setting up some guest bloggers but I was wondering what you guys might be interested in reading. I need a little inspiration right now!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Did you watch the Royal Wedding on Friday? What did you think?

LA Flower Mart

On Wednesday my friend Eden and I went to the flower mart to look at some pretty flowers and get some inspiration for the reception decor. I'll admit it's a little scary going downtown sometimes- the streets are dirty, people yell, and you can walk by some gross stuff- but once you walk into this pretty building with hundreds of thousands of beautiful flowers staring up at you, you can't help but smile. I took along Matthew's camera and a manual focus lens that was hard for me to work {see photos below} but I had to share. Hopefully these pretty flowers will make you smile on this gorgeous Friday!

Have a wonderful weekend friends!
{2 weeks from today I'm getting married woo hoo!}

look book: boots and argyle

I don't know about you but this week has me in the best mood ever! Maybe it's because my brother is coming home Wednesday, or that it's THANKSGIVING on Thursday, or that I'm seeing my best friends in the whole wide world on Friday, or that my Dad's birthday is on Sunday. I'm actually thinking it's all of the above! I really think this is my favorite time of the year!

It's also getting a lot colder in LA, which I know really isn't that cold compared to other parts of the country, but it's cold for here! I think it's officially time to reorganize my closet. The summer things need to rotate to the back of my closet because it doesn't make sense anymore. I have a feeling Matthew is going to use my fall cleaning as an excuse for me to downsize. Someone is getting a little worried about his closet space {or lack thereof} in May! hehe

Make sure to enter the giveaway for the Irene Jung necklace!

Also, Groupon is having a deal for Nordstrom Rack {$25 for $50!}. It's valid at all locations so if you haven't gotten it already you should! I heart Groupon!

first i pack in my head

Matthew says I bring way too many things when I come for the weekend. Totally not true. Case in point: this picture. Six very different pairs of shoes for three nights and three days. I could have brought more but I planned accordingly. I always have to think about what I want to pack before I actually do it. Packing is the most annoying process and I really hate it. How will I know what I want to wear in two days from now? What if the weather changes (which is normal in SF)? Why can't my wardrobe just appear magically whenever I am in need of a warmer sweater or more comfortable shoes? Maybe one day.. Now I'm just counting down the hours until I see Matthew (27 1/2) !!

cha cha cha

My friend Nikki and I went out last weekend and had soo much fun. This girl is crazy! We've known each other since my first job at The Daily Grill. I was 16! I love going out with my girls but I miss my boy and I am SO excited to see him tomorrow!

Back from class early= amazing
Not having enough ways to procrastinate= not so amazing

Can you believe it's September? I can't. I still don't know how the summer flew by so quickly, especially when I didn't even go on a vacation. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to this Labor Day weekend. Matthew is coming down Thursday or Friday (he procrastinates) and then we're either heading down to the beautiful San Diego. I'm so looking forward to it. The air quality in LA has been so bad. I'm praying for total containment of these fires asap.
