look book: forget me knot

 One of my favorite new things to do is add knots to my outfits. I do it with my t-shirts {love it off to the side}, my long skirts, and now button-ups. I'm guilty of succumbing to this trend because it's just too cute! I love how it gives such an effortless feel to any outfit. What do you guys think of this look? Would you do it?
dress TJ Maxx, button up J.Crew (similar), necklace Heather Belle, shoes Chinese Laundry via DSW, bracelets c/o Alex and Ani (one, two and three)

Funny story about these shoes: I saw them years ago around the holidays and wanted to get them because they were such a good price. I didn't want to impulse shop so I decided to think about them. The next day I went back because I couldn't stop thinking about them. On the night I was going to meet Matthew for the first time with some friends, I wore them! I'm thinking it's because of these shoes that he fell in love with me :) Well, maybe it helped?? Regardless I'll never ever ever get rid of these shoes, nor will I forget about them!

Yay for the weekend! I desperately need to sleep in. I've been getting way too little sleep over the past week.
Do you guys have any fun plans??

NYC rountripper

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to go NYC cause the sweet gentlemen over @ the WKITHOK invited me to be a part of their amazing bikeshow in brooklyn along with a ton of amazing people. It was my first time to the big apple all I can say is everyone must go at least once it is amazing. Went to the top of the empire state building, saw some real big dinosaurs, relaxed in a park that you could get lost in, the whole city is breathtaking. The bike show and the days leading up to it were mind boggling, I ate to much sushi and fried chicken, met Mr. Tom Fugle a truely amazing living legend... Thank you so much guys cant wait to see you again soon someday love Jeremiah

family feet

The most random post about family, feet and fur:
I love my little family. Sweet little Ginger is the cutest little puppy and I love holding her in my lap, even though half the time she tries to jump off and go fetch a toy. I try so hard to make her a lap dog!
Doesn't Ginger sit funny? She's so silly!

It's hard to believe that Matthew and I {and Ginger!} are moving out of our first apartment this weekend. I remember when Matthew found out he was transferring jobs and moving down. I helped him look for apartments when I got off work from the law firm and I happened to find him the most perfect one..less than a block away from my parents house! He loved it though and for the past year and 10 months it's been his home, and for the past 3 months it's been ours. We've had dance parties, dinner parties and holiday parties, not to mention two adorable Christmas trees. It's going to be sad to say goodbye and close the door. I just have to remember how exciting it will be to move into our first real place together, unpack, settle in, and decorate. We have so many more memories to make in the new apartment and I couldn't be more excited!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Send some good thoughts our way as we pack up and move out. I'm already an emotional mess! haha

look book: 5 minute outfit

This was a very spur of the moment day to night outfit! I wore this red dress during the day and I hardly had any time to change when Matthew and I had to leave for a concert. I threw on this jacket, belted it and added a pair of heels. Ready in under 5 minutes..Matthew was impressed! {so was I!}
jacket J.Crew via ebay, dress gift from Hanna, shoes Aldo, belt J.Crew, purse Coach

It was so fun to have a mid-week date with Matthew and go hear a couple bands {even if they weren't too good haha}. When I was in college Matthew would often drive out to me and take me on a Tuesday night date. It was something I really looked forward to. It made the school week a little more enjoyable, and got me excited to see Matthew again on the weekend. Now I get to see Matthew every day {yay!} but maybe he'll take me on a Tuesday night date sometime soon. hm what day is it again ;)
